> The airline convert part of its fleet to cargo in order to keep flying
> Wamos Air has been the first spanish company to achieve it

The spanish airline transforms one of its passenger airplanes to a cargo airplane with the aim of transport up to 48 tons of sanitarian and humanitarian supplies. This way, the company relieves the impact of the coronavirus and agilize the delivery of goods at national and international level.

Wamos Air has converted an Airbus A330-200, from passenger airplane dedicated to commercial flights to a cargo airplane thanks to the invaluable collaboration of AESA to obtain the corresponding exemption. This allows the company to increase the capacity it can transport in the cabin, reaching up to 250 m3.

Wamos Air is the first spanish company in achieving that transformation that has been developed thanks to all his team’s labor and effort, managing all the required permits, analysing the viability and safety of the project till all the minimum details, to attain, in record time, adapt the plane to a massive freights transport in this moment of health crisis.

Due to this innovation in the efficiency of its fleet, Wamos Air have performed several cargo flights in which has transported medical and humanitarian supplies in routes that seemed practically impossible to operate because of their condition. Routes such as Hong Kong-Barcelona, Shanghai-Madrid or Hong Kong-Guatemala are some of the examples that show that this initiative of Wamos Air and its continued commitment of progress, have been accomplished to help and equip several institutions, enterprises and industries all over the world.

Once again, Wamos Air positions itself as a premier airline at a spanish and international level, adjusting its operation, efforts and work to the social requirements giving its best in the aeronautical field.
