Amazon has expanded its cargo freighter operations in India by signing a contract with Quikjet Airlines. After receiving a new Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Indian civil aviation authority, Bengaluru-based cargo airline Quikjet Airlines has resumed operations.
The cargo airline, which connects Hyderabad with Delhi and Bengaluru using two modified Boeing 737-800 freighters (B737-800BCF and B737-800 BDSF), has been working for the world’s largest online retailer Amazon in India.
The cargo airline is anticipated to launch sections between Delhi and Mumbai very soon.
