Awery Aviation Software has done it again, securing its fourth consecutive victory at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) ONE Record Hackathon. The company’s latest innovation, PHP:ONE, is an open-source solution designed to streamline data exchange across the air cargo supply chain.
The 28-hour hackathon, held in Dublin as part of IATA’s World Data Symposium 2025, challenged developers to create solutions that enhance digital communication within the industry. Awery’s winning entry, PHP:ONE, serves as a Universal Cargo Hub, allowing seamless integration of both modern API-based and traditional Cargo-IMP messaging systems.
Bridging the Gap in Air Cargo Data Exchange
The air cargo industry has long struggled with fragmented data systems, where different players use different formats, causing inefficiencies and delays. Awery’s PHP:ONE addresses this challenge by providing a standardized, open-source platform that enables all stakeholders—regardless of their technical capabilities, to exchange data effortlessly.
“Our goal was to develop an industry-wide solution that accelerates the adoption of IATA’s ONE Record standard,” said Vitaly Smilianets, CEO of Awery Aviation Software. “PHP:ONE acts as a bridge, ensuring that all industry players can integrate seamlessly and work with a single source of truth.”
By converting various cargo messaging formats into the ONE Record standard, PHP:ONE facilitates better communication between airlines, freight forwarders, and other key players in the supply chain.
A Winning Streak
Awery’s latest victory adds to its growing legacy in digital innovation. The company previously won the hackathon in Istanbul for Flight Care, Frankfurt for CargoTracking.aero, and Doha for Qpay.aero—each time demonstrating its ability to develop practical, industry-transforming solutions.
As the air cargo sector moves toward greater digitization, solutions like PHP:ONE are paving the way for a more connected, efficient, and standardized future.
