  • The EU Cross-Border E-commerce Forum 2026 has surpassed 1,000 registered attendees for the first time, with the event bringing together more than 300 companies, 60 airlines, 100 freight forwarders, 53 speakers and industry leaders at the Palais de Congres Liege from 8–10 September.
  • The forum will explore key e-commerce and air cargo themes, including marketplace growth, specialised export corridors, cargo flow diversification, customs reform and the need for stronger compliance, transparency and resilient logistics.
  • Organised by CARGOLAND by LGG with the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency, the event aims to accelerate innovation and digital transformation through expert discussions, networking, exhibitions, B2B meetings and technology showcases focused on global cross-border trade.

The EU Cross-Border E-commerce Forum (EU CBEC) 2026 has crossed the milestone of 1,000 registered participants for the first time, underlining the event’s growing importance as Europe’s leading platform for air cargo and cross-border e-commerce. The three-day forum will be held at the Palais des Congrès Liège in Belgium from 8-10 September 2026.

Organised by CARGOLAND by Liège Airport, in partnership with the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX), the event has already attracted delegates from more than 300 companies, including representatives from 60 airlines, over 100 freight forwarding companies, 15 media organisations, and shippers from multiple industry sectors. A total of 53 industry experts are scheduled to speak during the conference.

Frédéric Brun, Head of Commercial Cargo & Logistics at Liège Airport, said the record number of registrations reflects the forum’s expanding influence within the global air cargo and e-commerce community, adding that the 2026 edition is on course to become the largest in the event’s history.

The conference programme will feature 17 panel discussions and presentationsaddressing the key trends reshaping cross-border trade. Sessions will examine customs reforms, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, data management, regulatory compliance, international trade, marketplace evolution and strategies to improve supply chain resilience amid an increasingly volatile cargo market.

Industry leaders from cargo airlines, logistics providers, customs authorities, technology companies, retailers and supply chain organisations will discuss how businesses can respond to changing consumer expectations while navigating evolving regulatory and operational requirements. The programme will also highlight the role of CARGOLAND as one of Europe’s specialist gateways for air cargo and cross-border e-commerce.

Beyond the conference sessions, the forum will include an exhibition showcasing technology providers, logistics solutions and digital innovations designed for the air cargo and e-commerce sectors. Dedicated networking opportunities, including pre-arranged business meetings, exhibition interactions and evening events across Liège, are expected to facilitate new commercial partnerships and industry collaboration.

Held under the theme “Freight Meets Magic,” the 2026 edition aims to bring together decision-makers from across the global cargo ecosystem to exchange insights and explore the future of cross-border e-commerce logistics. The event’s LAB Area will present emerging technologies and operational solutions focused on improving efficiency across air cargo and e-commerce supply chains.  Register now for the EU Cross-Border E-commerce Forum 2026 via: https://elite-events.idloom.events/eu-cbec-forum/register
