Logistaas Integrates AI into TMS to Streamline Freight Forwarding Operations

New Averroes AI suite brings intelligent automation, compliance monitoring and risk management directly into freight forwarders’ daily workflows.

Logistaas has strengthened its transport management system (TMS) with the launch of Averroes AI, a new suite of embedded artificial intelligence capabilities designed to help freight forwarders automate routine processes, improve compliance, identify operational risks earlier and make faster, data-driven decisions.

Rather than introducing AI as a standalone application, Logistaas has integrated Averroes AI directly into its cloud-based TMS, enabling users to access intelligent tools within their existing operational workflows without disrupting day-to-day processes.

The move reflects the growing adoption of artificial intelligence across the freight forwarding sector as logistics companies seek greater efficiency, improved accuracy and enhanced decision-making in increasingly complex global supply chains.

AI Embedded into Everyday Freight Operations

According to Logistaas, Averroes AI has been developed to enhance the transport management system that freight forwarders already rely on, allowing users to reduce manual workloads while maintaining familiar workflows.

“Freight forwarding is evolving quickly, and the technology supporting it has to evolve just as fast,” said Kareem Naouri, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Logistaas.

“We developed Averroes AI because we believe artificial intelligence should strengthen the transport management system that freight forwarders already depend on every day.”

He added that embedding AI directly into operational processes enables users to make faster decisions, reduce manual effort and improve consistency without changing the way they work.

Five AI Capabilities Introduced

The new AI suite introduces five core capabilities aimed at improving efficiency across freight forwarding operations.

Among the new features is automated document processing, enabling the system to extract key data from bills of lading, air waybills and supplier invoices, reducing manual data entry while improving speed and accuracy.

A second capability focuses on shipment risk assessment, using AI to identify potential operational issues before they escalate into service disruptions.

The platform also performs compliance checks against a freight forwarder’s internal operating procedures, helping ensure shipments are processed in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

In addition, Averroes AI includes an intelligent virtual assistant that guides users through Logistaas’ features, workflows and system functionality, simplifying navigation and reducing training requirements for new users.

Together, these capabilities are intended to improve operational visibility, strengthen governance and support more informed decision-making throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Supporting Digital Transformation in Freight Forwarding

Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important component of transport management systems as freight forwarders look to automate repetitive administrative tasks while improving service quality and operational resilience.

By embedding AI directly into its platform, Logistaas aims to provide practical tools that support day-to-day logistics operations rather than requiring users to adopt separate applications or additional software.

“Our focus has always been on building technology around the real operational needs of freight forwarders,” Naouri said.

“Averroes AI is another step in that journey and demonstrates our commitment to continually developing the Logistaas platform as the industry changes.”

As freight forwarding companies continue investing in digital transformation, integrated AI solutions such as Averroes AI are expected to play an increasingly important role in improving productivity, reducing operational complexity and helping logistics providers respond more effectively to evolving customer and supply chain requirements.
