New Thai Cargo Airline Pattaya Airways Secures AOC, Partners with ACE Global Logistics
Pattaya Airways, a new entrant in the Thai cargo aviation sector, has officially received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand. The certification marks a significant milestone for the airline, which has spent nine months in securing the AOC. The airline is poised to commence operations later this year.
In a statement posted on LinkedIn, Pattaya Airways expressed its pride in achieving the AOC, highlighting it as a reflection of the airline’s commitment to high standards in aviation. “Today, we proudly step forward to receive the AOC, a testament to our unwavering capability and high standards in aviation,” the company stated. “Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey—this success is yours too!”
The airline has already taken delivery of its first ATR 72-500 freighter and expects to receive its second ATR 72-500F shortly. Pattaya Airways plans to operate a network of domestic flights within Thailand and extend its services to neighboring Southeast Asian countries. The company aims to build a fleet of five aircraft.
In addition to securing its AOC, Pattaya Airways has announced a new partnership with ACE Global Logistics Solutions. The agreement is set to enhance air cargo efficiency by combining the strengths of both companies. “This agreement represents a strong collaboration between the two companies, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of air cargo systems,” the airline said. The partnership is expected to improve cargo services and expand business networks across the ASEAN region.
Pattaya Airways is a part of the Pattaya Group, headquartered in Bangkok. The group’s aviation division, established in 2015, has grown to be a significant provider of ground handling services in Thailand, offering a comprehensive range of airport services including passenger handling, flight operations, ramp services, cargo services, aircraft cabin cleaning, lounge services, ground support equipment, and private/charter flights.
