In a year defined by shifting supply chains and accelerating intercontinental trade, Rhenus Logistics has reinforced its standing as a major force in the Asia–Latin America corridor, reporting record volumes and expanded market leadership across key trade routes.

The company handled more than 170,000 TEUs in full container load (FCL) shipments between the Far East and Latin America during the 2024–2025 period. This milestone places Rhenus among the top three logistics providers operating along one of the fastest-growing global trade lanes, underscoring its ability to scale operations in line with rising demand.

Market Leadership Across Latin America

Rhenus’ performance has been particularly strong in inbound flows from Asia into South America. The company secured the number one position for Far East imports into Argentina, Colombia, and Paraguay—markets that are increasingly pivotal in regional trade dynamics. These rankings highlight not only volume growth but also the company’s operational consistency and local market penetration.

Beyond these core markets, Rhenus has strengthened its footprint across Latin America by leveraging its established regional infrastructure. Its integrated network and localized expertise have enabled the company to respond efficiently to evolving customer requirements, further consolidating its role as a strategic logistics partner in the corridor.

Rising Demand Driven by Asia–LATAM Trade Expansion

The company’s growth trajectory aligns with broader macroeconomic trends shaping global trade. As Asian exporters deepen their presence in Latin America, demand for reliable, scalable logistics solutions continues to rise. Industry projections suggest that trade between China and Latin America could reach $700 billion by 2035, reflecting a long-term structural shift in global commerce.

Within this context, Rhenus’ ability to combine global reach with regional specialization positions it to capture sustained growth opportunities, particularly as supply chains become more complex and time-sensitive.

Hong Kong Hub Strengthens Origin Capabilities

A key pillar of Rhenus’ strategy is its dedicated procurement center in Hong Kong, which serves exclusively the Latin American market. Situated in one of Asia’s primary commercial hubs, the facility enhances origin-side coordination, streamlines supplier engagement, and improves connectivity between Asian exporters and Latin American importers.

The Hong Kong hub functions as a critical bridge between the two regions, enabling greater supply chain visibility and control. By integrating procurement, coordination, and logistics execution, Rhenus has enhanced its responsiveness to fluctuating trade volumes and customer expectations.

Long-Term Strategic Vision

According to Fadelly Duque, Head of Sales LATAM at Rhenus Logistics, the Asia–Latin America corridor has evolved into a cornerstone of the company’s regional strategy. The sustained growth reflects not only strong execution on the ground but also a forward-looking approach aimed at anticipating global trade shifts and supporting regional economic development.

With continued investments in infrastructure, operational efficiency, and regional integration, Rhenus Logistics is positioning itself to remain a key enabler of trade between Asia and Latin America. As commercial exchange between the two regions intensifies, the company’s role in facilitating seamless, resilient supply chains is set to expand further.
