Miami, November 2024 – The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) honored leaders in sustainability at its 6th annual Air Cargo Sustainability Awards during the Air Cargo Forum in Miami.
Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT) was recognized as the Corporate category winner for its deployment of autonomous electric tractors, a solution that reduces emissions in terminal operations. In the Start-Up/Small Business category, Alpha Augmented Services won the $10,000 prize for their innovative approach to cutting costs, waste, and CO2 emissions.

Two additional finalists, CargoClub and ReverseMi Logistics Network, were awarded $2,500 each for their impactful contributions. CargoClub introduced a loyalty program promoting sustainable aviation fuel, while ReverseMi developed a global network supporting circular logistics and carbon footprint reduction.

Adrien Thominet Appointed to TIACA Board

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has named Adrien Thominet to its Board of Directors, filling the seat for a Global GSA.
Thominet’s career includes leadership roles in diverse industries, from promoting luxury wines at FICOFI to managing the Yokohama Film Festival for UniFrance Film. He joined the air cargo sector in 1995 and became COO of ECS Group in 2011.
TIACA Chair Steven Polmans praised Thominet’s extensive experience and leadership, noting his valuable contributions to the organization. Thominet succeeds Bertrand Schmolls, who was recognized for his five years of service.

TIACA’s 2024 Air Cargo Forum a Success in Miami
The International Air Cargo Association’s (TIACA) 2024 Air Cargo Forum (ACF) in Miami was a major success, attracting over 3,500 delegates from 80 countries. The four-day event featured insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and an exhibition with over 300 booths representing key sectors like trucking, ULDs, IT, airports, and airlines.
New features, including a golf tournament, sunrise yoga, and evening receptions, helped foster connections among attendees in unique ways. The event also hosted 85 industry leaders discussing critical topics such as sustainability, digital innovation, and air cargo challenges.
