Westjet Cargo Asserts Its Commitment to Cargo in Partnership With GTA

WestJet Cargo, the cargo division of the well-established WestJet airline, was created to meet the strong demand of the Canadian market.

Following a recently announced long-term partnership with GTA, the carrier is more than ever committed to offering its customers massively increased services worldwide.

Already well-known for being a very caring brand, WestJet Cargo pays particular attention to pets and takes great pride in successfully transporting thousands of animals across its network every year.

However, the carrier is not limited to this expertise as it has the ability to transport a multitude of cargo, including perishables, pharmaceutical and ecommerce products as well as dangerous goods across long distances, consequently meeting the specific and ever-growing needs of the Canadian market.

Now joined by Kirsten De Bruijn, who was appointed as Executive Vice-President Cargo in May 2022, the WestJet Cargo team is not only determined to supply customers with reliable on-time performance combined with competitive costs but also to assert its leading position in the fast-moving cargo market.

“As WestJet Cargo enters a pivotal moment of competitive expansion, we have a strong foundation, supported by a talented team and expansive network and together, these elements will ensure a bright future ahead as we strive to bring our customers more choice,” says De Bruijn.
