Air Charter Service has promoted long-serving executive Nick Harris to the newly created role of Airline Liaison Director – Middle East & Indian Subcontinent, a strategic appointment designed to deepen relationships with airline partners across one of the aviation industry’s fastest-growing and operationally complex regions.
The appointment, confirmed by ACS’s UAE operation on 5 May 2026, reflects the company’s increasing focus on strengthening airline engagement beyond traditional charter brokerage, positioning itself as a strategic logistics partner for carriers facing growing operational, technical and supply chain demands.
Based in Dubai, Harris brings almost two decades of experience within ACS, having joined the company’s London headquarters in 2006 before relocating to the Middle East in 2009. Five years later, he was appointed regional Cargo Director, a position he held for 12 years while helping establish ACS Dubai as one of the group’s strongest cargo-performing operations.
According to Dan Morgan-Evans, the new role is designed to centralise airline engagement across the region while supporting operators with increasingly specialised logistics requirements. ACS works with thousands of airlines globally as both suppliers and customers, arranging more than 35,000 flights annually, spanning cargo charters, private aviation and group movements.
In his expanded remit, Harris will work across all three of ACS’s principal divisions—cargo, private jets and group charters—with a particular emphasis on time-critical logistics solutions, including Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery, onboard courier (OBC), next flight out (NFO), urgent crew transport, replacement aircraft sourcing, and rapid movement of technical spares ranging from full aircraft engines to mission-critical components.
The move comes at a time when airlines across the Middle East, South Asia and surrounding trade corridors are facing heightened operational pressures, from fleet reliability challenges and maintenance scheduling constraints to geopolitical disruptions impacting airspace and supply chains. ACS itself demonstrated its emergency response capabilities earlier this year, coordinating more than 70 evacuation flights from the Middle East during regional disruptions in March 2026.
Speaking about his appointment, Harris said the role marks an important new chapter in a career built on regional airline partnerships. With more than 15 years of working directly with carriers across the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent, he will now act as a dedicated senior point of contact for airlines requiring rapid-response charter, logistics or emergency operational support.
The appointment also signals ACS’s broader commitment to strengthening its footprint in strategically important aviation markets across the Middle East, India and wider Asia, where demand for flexible charter capacity, technical recovery solutions and integrated logistics continues to grow alongside fleet expansion and regional trade flows.
As airlines increasingly seek agile external partners capable of delivering rapid operational continuity, Harris’s promotion positions ACS to play an even more embedded role in supporting carriers across both planned commercial operations and high-pressure operational scenarios.
