Air Canada Cargo is expanding its dedicated freighter network for the 2026–27 winter season, adding Amsterdam, Monterrey and Panama City to its scheduled services from Toronto.

The new routes will provide additional main-deck capacity across key transatlantic and Latin American trade lanes, broadening cargo-routing options between Canada, Europe and Central America. The expansion comes as the carrier adjusts its winter network to support demand across major international markets.

The twice-weekly freighter service to Amsterdam is scheduled to begin on October 29. It will complement Air Canada’s existing passenger operations to the Dutch city, adding dedicated cargo capacity on the transatlantic corridor.

The additions of Monterrey in Mexico and Panama City in Panama will strengthen the carrier’s freighter connections to important manufacturing, distribution and logistics markets across Latin America.

Matthieu Casey, managing director of commercial – cargo at Air Canada, said the Amsterdam service would strengthen the airline’s European network and provide dedicated main-deck capacity during a period when transatlantic capacity can become more constrained.

He added that the three new destinations would improve two-way connectivity between Europe and the carrier’s expanding Latin American network, creating additional opportunities to move shipments through markets including Quito, Lima, Bogotá and Mexico City.

Toronto Pearson International Airport also welcomed the network expansion. Carl Jones, head of aviation business development at Toronto Pearson, said the additional services would reinforce trade connections between Canada, Europe and Latin America, supporting Canadian businesses and international supply chains.

Toronto serves as a central hub for Air Canada Cargo’s international operations. The new destinations add further options for shippers moving goods across the Atlantic and into manufacturing and distribution centres in Mexico and Central America.

With the winter schedule, Air Canada Cargo aims to offer customers greater routing flexibility and dedicated freighter capacity alongside its existing passenger-aircraft cargo network.
