Global aircraft charter specialist Chapman Freeborn, part of Avia Solutions Group, has successfully completed the urgent delivery of a CFM56-7B engine stand to Johannesburg, highlighting the growing importance of specialist aerospace logistics and rapid-response cargo solutions in global aircraft maintenance supply chains.
The project, completed at the end of April, was carried out in partnership with EngineStands.com, a specialist provider of engine stand leasing and aviation ground support equipment.
The shipment involved the movement of a dedicated CFM56-7B engine stand—a critical piece of aerospace handling equipment used for the transport, storage, and maintenance of one of the world’s most widely deployed commercial aircraft engines. The stand was transported from storage facilities to the customer’s designated operational site in Johannesburg under strict delivery timelines.
