Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Swissport International have renewed and expanded their long-standing strategic partnership with a new five-year agreement, reinforcing their joint commitment to digital innovation and operational transformation across global aviation services.

The extended collaboration builds on more than a decade of cooperation and introduces an enhanced focus on scaling artificial intelligence (AI), data-driven platforms, and hybrid cloud capabilities. The initiative is aimed at strengthening Swissport’s operational resilience, improving service delivery, and supporting its long-term growth strategy in an increasingly complex and fast-evolving aviation environment.

Driving next-generation digital operations

Under the renewed agreement, TCS will continue to modernise Swissport’s technology landscape, leveraging AI-enabled solutions to optimise IT service management, streamline workflows, and enhance the efficiency of mission-critical ground handling operations.

The partnership will also focus on improving employee experience and operational consistency across Swissport’s global network, where real-time data, automation, and predictive analytics are becoming central to managing high-volume, time-sensitive airport activities.

A decade of measurable impact

Over the past ten years, TCS has played a central role in building Swissport’s digital backbone, delivering tangible improvements in service stability, operational efficiency, and time-to-market for new capabilities. The collaboration has enabled the integration of advanced data systems, automation tools, and user-centric design frameworks, resulting in improved turnaround times and enhanced visibility across operations.

This foundation has allowed Swissport to deploy digital innovations at scale, supporting more agile decision-making and enabling faster responses to operational challenges across multiple regions.

Expanding AI and cloud capabilities

The next phase of the partnership will prioritise the expansion of AI-led platforms and cloud-based infrastructure, positioning Swissport to better manage increasing operational complexity and fluctuating demand patterns within the aviation and cargo sectors.

By combining TCS’s expertise in cloud modernisation, data analytics, and AI with Swissport’s aviation domain knowledge, the companies aim to deliver scalable, future-ready solutions that enhance reliability and performance across global ground handling services.

Supporting long-term growth and resilience

Swissport’s leadership emphasised the strategic importance of the partnership in strengthening its technology-driven operational model. The collaboration is expected to further embed digital capabilities into core processes, enabling a more agile and data-centric organisation.

For TCS, the agreement highlights the growing role of technology providers in shaping the future of aviation logistics, where digital transformation is increasingly critical to maintaining competitiveness and ensuring operational continuity.

Recognition and future outlook

The impact of the partnership has already been recognised within the organisation, with Swissport naming TCS its “Innovation Partner of the Year 2025.” The accolade reflects TCS’s contribution to advancing operational intelligence and co-developing next-generation digital capabilities.

Looking ahead, the renewed agreement is set to deepen collaboration across AI, automation, and cloud technologies, supporting Swissport’s ambition to build a more resilient, efficient, and future-ready global operation.
