Trans Global Projects (TGP) has strengthened its presence in Northern Europe with the launch of a new operational entity in Finland, marking a strategic move to enhance its capabilities in complex project logistics across the region.
The newly established TGP Finland will be led by industry professional Jussi Heinonen, whose appointment is expected to bolster the company’s local expertise and client engagement in a technically demanding market.
Strengthening presence in a specialised industrial market
Finland is widely recognised for its advanced industrial base, particularly in sectors such as heavy engineering, energy, and infrastructure. These industries often require highly specialised logistics solutions, involving oversized cargo, complex routing, and strict project timelines.
By establishing a dedicated local operation, TGP aims to provide closer support to clients operating in these sectors, combining on-the-ground knowledge with its global project logistics network.
Colin Charnock, Group CEO of Trans Global Projects, highlighted the strategic importance of the move, noting that Finland’s industrial landscape presents both significant opportunities and operational challenges. He emphasised that the new office will enable the company to deliver tailored logistics solutions while maintaining high standards of execution.
Leadership to drive local growth and integration
Jussi Heinonen’s appointment signals TGP’s commitment to building a strong local foundation. In his new role, he will focus on developing the Finnish operation, strengthening customer relationships, and integrating local activities with the company’s broader international network.
Heinonen underscored the importance of disciplined planning and execution in complex logistics environments, stating that the company’s structured approach and global expertise were key factors in his decision to join.
Enhancing regional coordination across Northern Europe
The launch of TGP Finland also aligns with the company’s broader strategy to reinforce its Northern European operations. According to Andreas Menzel, Managing Director Northern Europe at Trans Global Projects, the Finnish market requires close coordination and deep technical understanding—factors that are best addressed through a local presence.
With the addition of Finland, TGP enhances its ability to manage cross-border projects across Scandinavia and the wider European region, offering integrated logistics solutions supported by regional and global resources.
Supporting complex project logistics demand
The expansion reflects growing demand for specialised project logistics services, particularly in sectors undergoing transformation such as renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure development. These projects often involve intricate supply chains and require seamless coordination between multiple stakeholders.
By combining local operational capability with global project experience, TGP is positioning itself to support increasingly complex logistics requirements while improving responsiveness and execution efficiency.
