Air Charter Service strengthens its German cargo team as it expands its presence in the market.
Air Charter Service (ACS) has appointed Timo Kaden as Cargo Business Development Director for Germany, strengthening its cargo charter operation as the company continues to expand its presence in the country.
Kaden will be based at ACS’s Frankfurt office and brings around 30 years of logistics experience, including 19 years working in cargo aircraft chartering across both operational and sales functions.
Commenting on the appointment, Caroline Werf, CEO of ACS Germany, said Kaden’s extensive industry experience and network in airfreight would support the continued development of the company’s cargo business.
“He has worked for some of the biggest names in freight forwarding and has a wealth of contacts in the airfreight business,” Werf said. She added that Kaden’s experience would help strengthen and guide ACS Germany’s growing team of cargo specialists.
Expanding Cargo Presence in Germany
ACS has significantly expanded its German operations in recent years and now has four offices in the country — Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart and Frankfurt.
The appointment comes as the company continues to build its cargo charter capabilities and customer base across the German market.
Kaden said his entire professional career had been focused on the cargo sector in Germany and that he was looking forward to building on existing business relationships in his new role.
“I have worked in the cargo business in Germany for my entire career and am looking forward to starting this new chapter,” Kaden said.
Before joining ACS, Kaden spent nearly two decades with KN Airlift, where he held roles covering global full-charter sales and operations. His career also includes experience with JAS Forwarding and other freight-forwarding organisations.
Supporting Cargo Charter Growth
Kaden’s appointment comes as ACS continues to benefit from strong demand for cargo charter services.
The company reported a 38% year-on-year increase in first-half 2026 revenue to more than $845 million, according to recent company results reported by industry media. Cargo charter activity was a significant contributor to the growth.
With its expanding German network and strengthened cargo leadership team, ACS is positioning itself to capture further opportunities in the European airfreight charter market.
