Integration gives US-based freight forwarders access to Qatar Airways Cargo capacity, online quoting and booking through a centralised procurement platform.
Qatar Airways Cargo has joined Pelicargo’s digital air freight procurement platform, expanding the carrier’s availability to freight forwarders using the US-based service to source, quote and book international shipments.
The partnership will give eligible platform users access to Qatar Airways Cargo’s global network, available capacity and booking capabilities through a consolidated digital workflow. Pelicargo’s platform allows forwarders to arrange international shipments from US origin ZIP codes, combining first-mile trucking with air freight procurement.
The integration is intended to help freight forwarders streamline rate sourcing and booking processes while improving access to international air cargo capacity across major trade lanes.
Pelicargo said the addition of Qatar Airways Cargo strengthens its offering for forwarders seeking access to markets across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. The platform brings airline capacity and shipment procurement functions together, reducing the need to coordinate every stage of the quotation process through separate channels.
Sean Angata, co-founder of Pelicargo, said Qatar Airways Cargo’s network made it an important addition to the platform. He added that the partnership was designed to help forwarders secure capacity more efficiently while improving flexibility and the customer experience.
For Qatar Airways Cargo, the integration creates another digital channel through which customers can access its products and services. For forwarders, the arrangement offers a more centralised process for comparing options and managing bookings.
The agreement reflects the broader shift towards digitalisation in air freight, as carriers and technology providers invest in online procurement tools designed to improve rate visibility, simplify booking workflows and help logistics companies respond more quickly to customer requirements.
Pelicargo’s platform supports US-based IATA freight forwarders handling export shipments and works with a network of airlines and general sales agents. The addition of Qatar Airways Cargo further broadens the capacity available through the platform.
